How to measure and fix
PH values:

pH - Potential Hydrogen

The amount of hydrogen peroxide - how acidic the water is.

Affects the uptake of fertilizers in the plant - each plant has a pH range in which it optimally absorbs the fertilizer provided to it.

Measure only after adding fertilizer

(Fertilizer also affects acidity).

Can be measured using a liquid or electronic gauge

And a pH lowering liquid should be used in order

Balance the acidity of the reservoir water.

Each ml of pH Down in a liter of water adds a certain amount of acidity. Usually about 1-2 ml of pH Down should be put in every 4 liters of water.

In order to find the right quantity for you

(The pH level of tap water may vary from house to house), you should add a relatively low amount, wait 15-30 minutes and check the acidity level until you reach the desired result.

Remember how many ml of pH Down you need to add to each

Liters of water and add it with each addition of water and fertilizer!

Instructions for use of the liquid meter:

  1. Add a small amount of pH-lowering liquid and wait.

  2. Take a water sample using the attached test tube.

  3. Drizzle a drop from the vial and examine the color of the water.

  4. Facilities as needed and according to the table on the back of the vial.

It is recommended to examine changes over time -

The pH in the reservoir rises and the EC falls? preferable. Can be downloaded

The acidity level and let it rise slowly so that the plants can absorb fertilizer from a wider range of pH.

The pH in the reservoir drops and the EC rises? - It is desirable to reduce

In the amount of fertilizer or replace the system water.

Does the pH in the reservoir remain constant? Good Job!

When the reservoir water is not replaced for this time, salt deposits that are dangerous to plants may accumulate and may show low pH values in vain.

How to measure and fix
EC values:

EC - Electrical Conductivity

Electrical conductivity - the amount of salts (fertilizers) in the water.

A certain amount of fertilizer should be added to each certain amount of water. In Zalmanson's "bounty" fertilizer, the recommended average is:

2 ml of fertilizer for every 1 liter of water.

The desired level of electrical conductivity in the feed solution (reservoir water) varies depending on the size of the seedlings and the type of crops. You can use the fertilizer table on the back of the bottle and our balance table.

In order to reach a maximum level of accuracy can be measured

By means of an electronic meter or by calculation:

Each ml of fertilizer in a liter of water adds an amount of conductivity

Certain indicated on the back of the bottle.

To this amount add 0.7 (approximately)

Already in tap water.

For example, every 1 ml of bounty fertilizer adds

0.45 per EC per 1 liter of water.

So if I added 20 liters of water and I want to get

For a conductivity of 1.6 I will add 40 ml of fertilizer:

1.6 - 0.7 = 0.9 -> 0.9 / 0.45 = 2 -> 2x 20 = 40

Instructions for using the electronic gauge:

  1. Measure the conductivity of tap water.

  2. Add a minimal amount of fertilizer and wait.

  3. The conductivity of the reservoir water is measured.

  4. Facilities as needed and according to fertilization tables.

It is recommended to examine changes over time -

Is the EC in the database rising? The plants drink more water

Fertilizer - The amount of fertilizer can be reduced.

Is the EC in the database going down? You can increase the amount of fertilizer.

Does the EC in the pool remain constant? Good Job!

When the reservoir water is not replaced for some time, salt deposits that are dangerous to plants may accumulate and may show high EC values in vain.
